The COVID-19 pandemic has posed many challenges for all of us, including our beloved parishes. Offertory funds lost due to the suspension of Masses have put a strain on the ability of parishes to pay bills and offer services.

Please consider making a gift and support the vital ministries and services your parish provides. You may select your parish from the drop-down menu on this form or you may choose “parishes most in need” at the bottom of the list. Gifts of any amount are welcome and all gifts will go directly to the parish indicated.

STANDARDS OF PRACTICE

Dear Parishioners:
The following information is provided so that you know what to expect when returning to church for Mass.  The following guidelines are more than recommendations; they are the standard practices for assembling.
Please read the full text here:

Returning to Mass

Dear Parishioners of Most Precious Blood:

As Luzerne County has gone into the “yellow” phase, our parish is preparing to reopen to the public with limitations, of course.  Some things to keep in mind are: the general dispensation from the Sunday Mass obligation remains in place and “live streamed and recorded Masses will continue due to the attendance limitations.  Also, the “six feet of distance” rule will be enforced while entering and exiting the church as well as, seating for the Mass and the reception of Holy Communion.

At this moment, we want to gather information as to your intentions for coming to Mass, how many in your family will be attending, and a contact phone number for us to respond to you in the future.  Our intention is to gather this information and then “invite” you and yours to a Mass on a designated date and time.  As you can imagine, this is a challenging effort given the diminished seating capacity of our parish church.  No one should expect to attend Mass on a regular basis.  Attendance by invitation from the parish office will be the norm.

Please contact us with your intention to return to Mass by this website, by phone (570) 454-8714, email: mpbhaz@ptd.net,  or FB.  Again, we need to know your name, phone number and the number from your family who will attend Mass.  Those who are ill are asked to refrain from attending Mass.  Everyone should feel free to decline at this time.  Please remember that the elderly and those with significant health conditions are still considered at high risk in regard to COVID-19.
