"Our mission is to live our Catholic Faith in such vivaciousness that we inspire those around us to seek God more deeply and profoundly. We as teachers, profusely human, are called to share our successes and failures before God as teaching moments to our students, always bringing mercy and love to bear witness to the greatness of our Heavenly Father. We seek to touch the hearts of our students, through Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic Church in such a way as to cultivate a living, breathing faith which will fill their very souls and continue to deepen and grow for the rest of their lives."
CCD is held Sunday mornings from 8:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the H.I.P. building. Eighth grade students meet in the Church Hall.
To register your child for Catechism, please contact the rectory office (570) 454-8714..
One of our newest faith formation initiatives is the St. Joseph Vocation Ministry. This ministry has been formed to pray for and promote vocations to the ordained ministry, consecrated life, and the vocation to Catholic marriage. We have a travelling St. Joseph statue that parishioners invite into their homes to pray for vocations. We have held events celebrating our faith, pastor and religious brothers and sisters. This new vocation ministry has been very well received and we have many ideas that will be implemented in the coming months.
Is your love for the Lord leading you to grow in holiness as a priest, deacon or through the consecrated life? Contact your priest or reach out to the vocation office and contact Reverend Alex J. Roche (570) 207-1452 or email: info@dioceseofscranton.org/vocations
If you are interested in inviting the St. Joseph Statue into your home to pray for vocations, a sign-up sheet is in the back of the church or call the rectory at (570) 454-8714.
